Theatre 33

Home to Oregon and Northwest Playwrights

We are a creative home to Pacific Northwest playwrights

Our focus is simple: We bring writers and performers together in the same room to craft, shape, and strengthen works that contribute to the American theatre landscape. Through full productions, readings, workshops, and collaborative development, we're building theatre that speaks to both our region and the wider world.

Aditions: Theatre 33 is holding auditions on April 12 between 12 noon and 2 p.m. Auditions will be at the Pelton Playhouse on Willamette University's campus. Click on the Google form to see all the information and to register. See you on April 12th!

Create, Cultivate, and Collaborate

Theatre 33, in residence at Willamette University, is a new play development company that helps Oregon/NW playwrights develop their new scripts from our 60-hour rehearsed workshop production (fully designed lights, sound, props, set, costumes, entirely staged with scripts in hand), to a world premiere full production.

We are so grateful to our sponsors!

Theatre 33 - 2026 Summer New Play Festival is supported by a grant from Transient Occupancy Tax from the City of Salem.
